Horror in Zagreb: Military official kills wife and 4-year-old daughter, then jumps from 4th floor

Zagreb police briefly reported that this morning in the Zagreb neighborhood of Špansko, a man committed suicide by jumping, while two dead persons were found in the apartment, writes Index.hr, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Neighbors told Croatian media that military official Željko R. killed his daughter and wife, and injured his wife's mother.

Mirela Ban from the Zagreb police confirmed at 10 AM at the scene only that a woman and child were killed, that the man committed suicide, and that one female person was injured.

When they found him, the military official was still alive, but died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The murdered woman was 30 years old, and the child was four years old. The injured woman was born in 1931.

Neighbors say the man who jumped from the building is named Željko and that he suffered from PTSD. They also said he was quiet, calm, and withdrawn, but they noticed he was quite nervous. The family reportedly moved to Špansko five years ago.
