WITH FLAGS OF BIH AND SERBIA Vučić received Konaković: I hope for good future cooperation

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković held a meeting today with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. 

Vučić wrote on Instagram that he welcomed Minister Konaković and expressed hope that they will cooperate well in the future.

Konaković was joined today by Deputy Josip Brkić, who was not in Montenegro yesterday but attended sessions of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina instead of Konaković. 

A meeting was also held with Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić, and Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia Tanja Miščević.

The hosts welcomed the delegation at the meetings and extended congratulations on the swift formation of the Council of Ministers, as well as on the candidate status that Bosnia and Herzegovina received. It was emphasized that good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia are very important for both countries, as well as for the entire region.

The potentials and opportunities that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia have are great, and a common interest was shown in making the realization of concrete projects the focus in the coming period. 

Minister Konaković expressed his belief that, in good faith and through the work of competent institutions, we can achieve constructive dialogue and open space for improving relations that will benefit the lives of citizens of both countries, and that stability, security, and economic progress are in the interest of both countries.

He said it is important to maintain institutional cooperation, i.e., cooperation at the level of state institutions, and accordingly, it was agreed that the possibility of holding a joint session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia will be considered in the coming period.
