There will always be currents from Zagreb and Belgrade working to weaken BiH

Professor from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, Suad Kurtćehajić said in an interview with the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that federalism as a model for organizing BiH is not good, and that BiH can lead to its disappearance.

Professor Kurtćehajić's comment followed after the Croatian HDZ representative in the European Parliament Andrej Plenković, together with Milan Kovač, president of the HDZ Diaspora Committee, held a lecture two days ago at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar about a resolution in which federalism is highlighted as an acceptable model for organizing BiH.

- Such a stance does not surprise me, because there will always be some currents from Zagreb and Belgrade working to weaken BiH – said Kurtćehajić.

He added that BiH is currently in a very difficult position, and that he sees the only possible solution in BiH's accession to the European Union through an expedited procedure.

Commenting on the protests that have been held in several cities in BiH in recent days, Professor Kurtćehajić says that the citizens' revolt is justified considering the long-term behavior of politicians, their enormous salaries, privileges, mobile phones, expensive cars, business class travel, and whether they deserved it or not, and that despite all this, they have not managed to do anything for this country.
