Soon, citizens of BiH will enter Macedonia with only an ID card

The Minister of Interior of Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski, is on an official visit to Sarajevo, where he met with the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić, today. A working meeting was held, and the signing of an agreement was announced, which will allow citizens of BiH to travel to Macedonia with only an ID card and vice versa, writes the Patria agency.

- BiH and Macedonia are part of joint security projects in the Western Balkans. We have good cooperation with Macedonia, we have signed all bilateral agreements, and today we discussed lowering that cooperation to the level of police experts in concretely solving problems. We will send our experts to Macedonia, and they will come from Macedonia to BiH, this particularly applies to training centers. We are located on the so-called Balkan migrant route, and although we are a transit country, we have these challenges - said Minister Mektić.

Macedonian Minister Spasovski said that security is the most important segment of any society, and therefore it is important to have the best cooperation.

- We recently signed an agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licenses, and soon we will sign an agreement that will allow citizens of BiH to travel to Macedonia with only an ID card and vice versa - said Spasovski.
