USK: Coronavirus confirmed in three patients out of 58 tested samples

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Yesterday, 58 samples for coronavirus testing were sent from the area of Una-Sana Canton to the reference laboratory in Sarajevo. The institutions of USK received the test results this morning, and according to them, three samples are positive for coronavirus, confirmed the Minister of Health of USK, Dr. Nermina Ćemalović.

These are two individuals from Cazin and one individual from Bihać, who were in contact with infected persons, according to information from the Institute of Public Health of USK.

At the Cantonal Hospital in Bihać, there are currently six positive patients in the infectious disease ward, five individuals in isolation, and one in intensive care on a ventilator. The patient from Bihać, the first admitted for treatment, has tested negative twice on retest and has been transferred to the ward as cured, informed Dr. Hajrudin Havić, director of the hospital in Bihać, announced the crisis staff of USK.

The Cantonal Civil Protection Staff of Una-Sana Canton and the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of USK will hold a regular press conference today in Bihać at 12:00 PM.
