Attacker who abducted a woman near Umag yesterday arrested

(Patria) - Following an intensive search, a man suspected of abducting a woman near Umag yesterday has been arrested, HRT reported.

- The police engaged all their available forces in the search, including intervention, special, and regular police. They are intermittently stopping vehicles on the Istrian Ypsilon - said HRT journalist Jasminka Kalčić.

The man the police are linking to the abduction is 63 years old, as is the victim, the abducted woman who reported him to the police for rape about a month ago.

After she met him in the parking lot, the woman got into the car. After some time, he stopped the vehicle and gave her a mobile phone, telling her that her husband could come for her, but not the police.

Reportedly, this is a person who already has experience with police searches and has managed to evade justice for years, writes Jutarnji list.
