(Patria) - A man was arrested in the Zadar area on suspicion of threatening Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and government members in May, Croatian police reported.
The statement says the man holds both Croatian and American citizenship.
Police recalled that in May, a report was received from an unknown person who "in their statement expressed threats against the president and members of the government," leading to additional police forces being deployed at St. Mark's Square in Zagreb, where the government headquarters is located.
A criminal investigation has been ongoing since then, which, as added, was hampered because the person suspected of making the threats was outside Croatia.
