The decision of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić will determine who will form the government in Republika Srpska, confirmed to the BiH news agency Patria from multiple sources within parties that won mandates in the National Assembly of RS.
- Vučić is talking with Ivica Dačić, President of SP, to influence Petar Đokić, President of the Socialists in RS, to join the Alliance for Change and accept the mandate position offered to him by SDS President Mladen Bosić, on the condition that SP is part of a coalition that will not include SNSD. The alleged agreement between Milorad Dodik, Marko Pavić, and Petar Đokić last night in Brčko to form the government is pure public spin and an attempt to create the impression that everything is already agreed upon. More precisely, all of this was done under Dodik's pressure, as this is a fight for his life, our sources explain.
According to reliable Patria information, Dodik threatened Đokić after the meeting he had on Monday, November 3rd, in Bijeljina with Bosić, and the SP president literally agreed to the meeting in Brčko last night and the verbal agreement to form a coalition with SNSD due to threats.
Otherwise, Đokić stated at a press conference that the framework for a future coalition agreement between these three parties has been established, which will be signed after the final results of the general elections are announced.
- This very statement by Đokić is a clear indication that this is an agreement hanging in the air, as nothing has been signed. Đokić is wavering, which is quite normal, but we will see in the next few days how the talks between Belgrade and Banja Luka will unfold. Although Vučić and Dačić have not interfered in elections in BiH so far, it seems they will play a major role in the final stages, our source states.
Otherwise, SNSD, DNS, and SP have 42 out of a total of 83 deputies in the NSRS, which is a "loose" majority.
