(Patria) - Several Belgrade schools received threats of planted bombs this morning.
Threats of bombs arrived at Primary School "Drinka Pavlović", and according to Danas, Primary School "United Nations" and Primary School "Branko Ćopić" in Vidikovac also received them.
A threat also arrived at Primary School "Vojvoda Radomir Putnik" in Dedinje, and it is suspected that many other Belgrade schools received similar threats.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia (MUP) confirmed to FoNet today that threats of bombs have been sent to several schools in the territory of Belgrade.
Checks are currently being carried out by members of the counter-sabotage teams of the Serbian MUP, the Ministry stated.
The director of Zemun Gymnasium, Miloš Bjelanović, confirmed to Danas that his school also received a bomb threat early this morning.
Duty teachers have informed the children not to come, we are waiting for the arrival of the police's counter-sabotage team to inspect the facility, Bjelanović said.
The Medical School in Zvezdara also received a threat.
The portal Nova.rs reported that threats also arrived at Primary School "Laza Kostić" in New Belgrade and Primary School "Vasa Pelagić" in Kotež.
Schools have instructed teachers to inform parents not to bring their children today.
Belgrade schools have been targeted by false bomb threats several times before.
Authorities will, of course, treat these threats as serious, just like all previous ones, and children will not return to classes until all facilities have been checked.
