
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - To prevent the spread of coronavirus, Serbia and Montenegro have closed all border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Entry into these countries is only permitted for their citizens, foreigners with registered residence, and truck drivers, BIHAMK announced this morning.
Border crossings with Croatia are operational for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with detailed checks of passengers and goods being conducted. Exceptions apply to passengers who have stayed in high-risk countries (China, Iran, Italy, South Korea) in the last 14 days, as well as countries: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, England, Netherlands, Sweden, and the Bela Krajina region in Slovenia. These individuals will be placed in 14-day isolation.
We appeal to drivers to travel within BiH only in necessary situations and to adhere to coronavirus protection measures.
On the Zenica-Nemila main road, traffic through the Vranduk tunnel operates in both directions from 5 AM to 9 PM. From 9 PM to 12:30 AM, vehicles are allowed through alternately, while traffic through the tunnel is suspended from 12:30 AM to 5 AM. During the suspension, vehicles up to 7.5 tons of total weight can use the detour through the settlement of Tetovo, and vehicles over 7.5 tons can use the alternative routes Doboj-Šićki Brod-Sarajevo and Žepče-Zavidovići-Olovo-Sarajevo.
On the Jajce-Crna Rijeka main road in the village of Ugarak, due to renovation works, there are occasional half-hour traffic suspensions from 7 AM to 4 PM (with 15-minute vehicle passage). After 4 PM, traffic on this section operates alternately, with one lane.
Traffic is suspended due to renovation works from 9 AM to 3 PM on the regional road Crna Rijeka-Mrkonjić Grad (on the Crna Rijeka-Bjelajce section).
Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the main roads: Sarajevo-Trnovo (Krupac), Grude-Ljubuški, and Jablanica-Mostar (Potoci).
Traffic is on dry roads, and we warn of frequent landslides on numerous sections. We advise cautious driving and remind you that winter equipment is legally mandatory.
