Election silence begins in Serbia at midnight

(Patria) - Election silence begins in Serbia at midnight and will last until Sunday, December 17, at 8 PM when the voting for parliamentary, provincial, and local elections concludes, or when polling stations close.

According to the decision of the Republican Electoral Commission (RIK) of Serbia, 6,500,165 registered voters will be able to exercise their right to vote in the parliamentary elections at one of the total 8,273 polling stations.

In the provincial elections in Vojvodina, 1,669,734 citizens have the right to vote, and in the Belgrade elections, 1,613,190 voters.

In the republican elections, voters will be able to choose from 18 lists with a total of 2,817 proposed candidates for 250 seats in parliament.

For the provincial elections, 13 electoral lists have been determined, for the elections for the Belgrade City Assembly 14, and local elections will be organized in a total of 65 cities and municipalities.

During the election silence, it is forbidden to publish election result estimates in the media and at public gatherings, or to present candidates or election lists and their election programs.
