
(Patria) - Police were reported this morning around 4:30 AM that unknown persons smashed the windows of a bus on the Niš - Belgrade highway, and one person was injured, confirmed by the office for cooperation with the media of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
One person was injured but refused assistance, and the police are searching for the attackers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated, without providing further details about the incident.
The Consular Department of the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade told Hina that they had not received any report of the incident nor had any assistance been requested.
According to Belgrade media, masked men smashed the windows of a bus with sticks around four o'clock this morning on the highway near Grocka, not far from Belgrade. The fans were returning from Kosovo after a match in which Rijeka defeated Kosovo's Dukagjini.
Police and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene of the attack, and the driver complained of a cut on his hand.
According to information from the portal Telegraf.rs, none of the NK "Rijeka“ fans were injured.
According to unofficial information, the attackers were allegedly masked and blocked the bus's path with cars, then began smashing the windows with sticks.
Meanwhile, the police have not issued an official statement about this incident.
