Skiing possible in Slovenia from January 1st, but only with a negative corona test

(Patria) - The use of ski lifts at Slovenian ski resorts and skiing itself is allowed from Friday with a negative coronavirus test that can be done at the border or at the ski resort, the Slovenian government announced on Thursday.

Skiing will be allowed for those who bring a negative coronavirus test result with them, no older than 24 hours, and performed in Slovenia.

A decision was also made to introduce the possibility of rapid antigen testing for passengers at five larger border crossings with Croatia starting Saturday.

Persons entering Slovenia from so-called "red" zones will be able to enter Slovenia without quarantine in the future if such testing at the border shows a negative result, and with that test they will also have access to ski resorts.

The government of Prime Minister Janez Janša has recommended that ski centers themselves arrange the possibility of testing at the entrance to the ski resorts with rapid antigen test providers.
