BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - 11 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the Republika Srpska, said the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, at a press conference in Banja Luka.
This brings the total number of infected people in Srpska to 114. 55 people were tested today. Seven are women and four are men.
He stated that three people are in the University Clinical Center, and the rest are in home isolation.
The measures taken by the Republika Srpska to suppress the spread of the coronavirus have been assessed as defensive by the World Health Organization, and RS will start with offensive measures from tomorrow.
An additional 25,000 tests for coronavirus will arrive next week, and he added that RS has decided to proceed with mass testing.
"Starting tomorrow, all positive cases with milder symptoms in Banja Luka can expect calls from the Health Insurance Fund. They will be transferred to the Banja Luka Student Center, to pavilions one and two which have been emptied. They will be under supervision there, and we have laboratory conditions there. All their household members will be tested, and if they are negative, they will remain at home, otherwise, they will also go to the Student Center," Šeranić stated at the press conference.
