Economic agreement between Serbia and Kosovo signed in the presence of Trump

WASHINGTON, (Patria) - The signing ceremony of the economic agreement between Serbia and Kosovo at the White House, which will be attended by US President Donald Trump, was delayed, but the agreement was nevertheless signed.

Kosovo media had previously reported that Kosovo's Prime Minister Avdulah Hoti did not have the support of the ruling coalition for such an agreement and that Ramush Haradinaj had threatened to leave the coalition.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also signed, and negotiations have been ongoing since yesterday. President Trump also signed the agreement.

Although information had emerged that Serbia was asked to sign the recognition of Kosovo, this was denied.

US President's Special Representative Richard Grenell said this morning that he expects the two sides to sign an agreement on numerous economic issues and that he does not accept "no" as an answer.
