Three tons of drugs worth 60 million euros burned in Našice

(Patria) - In Našice, narcotics seized during criminal investigations were burned.

Almost three tons of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and hashish, with a street value of 60 million euros, were burned.

The police continue their work.

This year alone, 2,000 criminal charges related to drug abuse have been filed.

The drugs burned today were mostly seized along the so-called Balkan route.

- This speaks volumes about our role at the EU level, with our partners, and about our role in the Southeast European region where Croatian police lead in operational actions.

You have witnessed in recent years how many actions have been carried out, and the result of those actions is this drug that we will burn today - 244 kilograms of heroin according to the Australian methodology.

This means we have saved at least 100 lives, and that is the most important thing - said Police Director General Nikola Milina.
