963 people infected in Croatia, including 53 doctors

CROATIA, (Patria) - 963 people have been infected with coronavirus in Croatia. 96 infections have been confirmed. 73 people have recovered. Six people have died from coronavirus. 34 people are currently on ventilators, and one additionally on an ECMO device, announced the National Civil Protection Headquarters.

The Istrian police have reported a 29-year-old woman from Vrsar who, posing as a doctor, spread fake news about coronavirus on social media, and a 32-year-old man who called for gatherings in the Poreč area on the group "Let's go out on the streets and end the virus".

The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) has proposed measures to the Government for the protection of workers, because, despite the measures taken so far to mitigate the consequences of the crisis caused by coronavirus, they are increasingly exposed to layoffs, non-payment or reduction of wages, as well as the risk of infection while working.

A total of 7,680 tests have been performed so far: 665 in the last 24 hours. 53 doctors, 6 pharmacists, 10 dentists, 44 nurses and medical technicians, and 5 administrative staff members have tested positive for coronavirus. County centers 112 have received a total of 3,564 reports of self-isolation violations so far. Violations of self-isolation have been determined in 970 people, about which the State Inspectorate has been informed, it was announced at the press conference of the Headquarters at 2 PM.
