Eight people died from coronavirus in Croatia in 24 hours

CROATIA, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, Croatia has recorded a record number of victims in one day since the beginning of the pandemic - as many as 8. Officials emphasize that all deceased had severe chronic diseases, and 6 of them were on ventilators. There are 39 new cases, bringing the total number of infected to 1,871. There are 23 patients on ventilators, and 709 have recovered.

The director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases "Dr. Fran Mihaljević", Alemka Markotić, stated that the coronavirus was isolated at that clinic three weeks ago, and that additional checks were carried out afterwards. She announced that a complete analysis of the coronavirus genome will follow, and when asked if there is evidence that the virus originated in a laboratory, she said that these are common considerations when discussing pandemics. Nature is, unfortunately, the greatest bioterrorist, Markotić asserted.
