(Patria) - At technical inspections, 18.6 percent of vehicles are defective, and the most common defects are on lights and brakes, the Croatian Vehicle Centre (CZV) announced today.
CZV data covers all types of vehicles, and out of a total of 2,322,406 inspected vehicles, at least one defect was found in 18.59 percent, or 431,625 of them.
The average number of defects per defective vehicle is greater than five, so most defective vehicles had more than one defective assembly, which corresponds to the fact that vehicles in Croatia are getting older, and therefore faults are most often not isolated but there are several on defective vehicles, the CZV says.
During the first vehicle inspection, the highest percentage of defects, 24 percent, is on lights and turn signals, and very close are defects on braking systems, which account for 22 percent of the total number of defects found.
These are followed by defects on the body, chassis and other parts, then defects on the engine, and in fifth place in the total number are defects on axles, wheels, tires and suspension.
