(Patria) - As of today, the legal obligation for drivers of motor vehicles in Croatia to have daytime or low-beam lights on while driving during the day has ceased. However, there is a catch.
"This provision does not apply to drivers of motorcycles and mopeds, who are still required to drive with daytime lights on even during the day, as the provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Act stipulate that lights on motorcycles and mopeds must be on throughout the year.
Certainly, it should be noted that vehicles in road traffic at night (from dusk to dawn) and in cases of reduced visibility must have their lights on," the police appeal.
Additionally, cyclists and drivers of personal transport vehicles participating in traffic are required at night always, and during the day in case of reduced visibility, to be marked with a reflective vest or reflective clothing or another reflective marking.
Also, pedestrians moving on the sidewalk at night, and during the day in case of reduced visibility, must be marked with some source of light or reflective material.
"We call on all road traffic participants to exercise increased caution and comply with traffic regulations, and we wish them a safe and pleasant drive," the police conclude.
