Croatia reports 261 new cases, seven deaths in 24 hours

(Patria) - Seven people have died and 261 new cases have been registered in Croatia in the last 24 hours, announced the Croatian National Civil Protection Headquarters. There are 313 patients in hospital treatment, and 24 of them are on ventilators.

According to the report from the Teaching Institute of Public Health of Split-Dalmatia County, out of a total of 725 processed tests today, 48 new patients are positive for COVID infection, namely 27 from Split, 1 from Dicmo, 3 from Dugopolje, 4 from Imotski, 3 from Kaštela, 1 from Makarska, 1 from Muć, 1 from Podbablje, 1 from Proložac, 2 from Sinj, 3 from Solin, and 1 from Trilj.

• In Vukovar-Srijem County, according to data received by 8 AM, there are 3 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours (1 person from Privlaka, 1 from Mirkovci, and 1 foreign national currently residing in Gunja).

• In the area of Lika-Senj County, there is one new person infected with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

• In Istria County, two people have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. In one case, it is a person from self-isolation measures, and in the other, it is a Moroccan citizen, a member of a sports team accommodated in Poreč.

• In the City of Zagreb, 49 new cases have been registered. Consequently, 186 people have been ordered to self-isolate. 13 new cases have negative epidemiological history so far, 24 people are contacts of COVID+ individuals, and the epidemiological processing is ongoing for four people.

• In Požega-Slavonia County, there are currently 126 active cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. In the last test, 160 samples were processed, of which 14 were positive.

• Eight new positive cases in Osijek-Baranja County. In the Clinical Hospital Center Osijek and the Public Health Institute of OBŽ, a total of 226 samples were analyzed in the last 24 hours, of which eight from the area of Osijek-Baranja County were positive for coronavirus (3 from the City of Osijek, 2 from Đakovo, and 1 each from the City of Valpovo and the municipalities of Čepin and Semeljci).

• In Sisak-Moslavina County, there are no new cases of COVID-19 infectious disease today.
