(Patria) - A collection will be organized in mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora after Friday prayers to aid the people of the Republic of Croatia affected by the earthquake, MINA reports.
The Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, informed the Ambassador of Croatia to our country, Ivan Sabolić, about the organization of this type of aid in a letter.
He stated that in this way, in addition to collecting money, all Bosniak Muslims from around the world are invited to show care, attention, and compassion to stand by their neighbors from the Republic of Croatia, with the message that we are most important to each other in times of hardship and ease.
The Director of the Administration for Religious Affairs of the Riyaset, Ismail ef. Smajlović, emphasized in a letter to imams for the organization of the collection the need to express moral and all other support to the affected and unfortunate citizens of Croatia.
"The memories of the organized humanitarian aid and shelter for the displaced that our neighbors provided to the citizens of BiH during the days of aggression against our homeland are fresh and indelible. Our hopes, thoughts, and sincere compassion that we share with the families of the victims and the citizens of Croatia strengthen us in our commitment to persevere in good deeds," Smajlović said.
