Bosniaks Excluded from Negotiations in Montenegro to Make Way for Serbs

(Patria) - The Bosniak Party opposes the formation of a government with the Serbian bloc of parties ZBCG, led by Chetnik duke Andrija Mandić.

Mandate holder Milojko Spajić offered the Democratic Party of Montenegro last night to join the Government, which they accepted at an electronic session of the Presidency.

The Democrats were offered the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Internal Policy and Security, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Foreign Affairs, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Defence, Minister of Ecology, Tourism, Northern Development and Sustainable Development, and Minister of Culture.

The Government will have 18 ministries. Spajić did not accept the Bosniak condition that the Social Democrats also join the government. They are currently outside the Government, which will have the support of at least 49 MPs.

Under the current circumstances, mandate holder Spajić will most likely secure the support of at least 49 MPs to form the 44th government.

Radio Television of Montenegro reports, citing unofficial information, that after the mandate holder agreed with the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" on minority support, the Democrats held a Presidency session and accepted the offer to participate in the 44th government.

RTCG portal learns that the leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić, has agreed to give up the position of Speaker of Parliament to unblock the process. Instead of that position, he will receive additional positions in the Government.

The position of Speaker of Parliament will go to ZBCG, most likely Andrija Mandić, as well as 40 percent of positions based on seniority.

The security sector should go to the Democrats, and the SNP would retain its existing portfolios. The United Montenegro, which conditioned its support on the entry of the ZBCG coalition, could also be in the Government. They would most likely get the Ministry of Education.

Albanian parties are willing to participate in the Government, while Bosniaks are a big question mark, meaning, under the current circumstances, they are outside the Government. They oppose the formation of a government with the Serbian bloc of parties ZBCG, led by Chetnik duke Andrija Mandić.

Since their votes are not necessary in this scenario, there is a high probability that they will move to the opposition.
