
(Patria) - Croatian police received a report from emergency medical services this morning around 6:05 AM that a child needed medical assistance in Medulin.
Despite the efforts of healthcare professionals, the child passed away and was transported to the Pula hospital for an autopsy, reports Glas Istre.
Police officers are determining the circumstances of the event.
The 5-year-old girl is a Czech national who was staying in Medulin with her parents. They were accommodated in the wider center of the municipality.
This morning, shortly before 6 AM, emergency services were called because the child felt unwell, and they had previously sought medical help due to the girl's health problems.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, despite the exceptional efforts of the doctors and all resuscitation procedures applied, the girl unfortunately could not be helped, and death was pronounced.
It is learned from the spokesperson of the Istrian Police Administration, Suzana Sokač, that any suspicion of violent death and criminal offense has been ruled out.
