(Patria) - Members of the Ministry of Interior (MUP) in Novi Sad arrested M.L. (60) and Z.K. (56) from Bečej and Croatian citizen Lj.P. (49) on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of abandoning a helpless person.
It is suspected that M.L., as the guardian of a fourteen-year-old child with special needs, left the boy in the care of Z.K. and Lj.P., and that he jumped through a window of an apartment on the third floor in Bečej last night and died.
The suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought, along with a criminal report, to the basic public prosecutor in Bečej.
