
(Patria) - A child has died and six people have been seriously injured in a traffic accident involving four passenger vehicles on Sunday around three o'clock on the Adriatic Highway near the Dubrovnik settlement of Orašac, reported the Dubrovnik-Neretva police.
The police stated that the accident occurred when a 33-year-old Albanian citizen, driving a passenger vehicle with Italian license plates in the direction of Dubrovnik, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a vehicle with German license plates driven by a 20-year-old German citizen from the opposite direction.
"Then, in uncontrolled movement, it collided with a passenger vehicle with Slovenian license plates that was moving behind the vehicle with German license plates and was driven by a 50-year-old citizen of Kosovo. After the impact, the vehicle with German license plates collided with another vehicle, also with German license plates, which was moving in the opposite lane towards Dubrovnik, and was driven by a 29-year-old citizen of Kosovo," determined the police.
A minor child from the passenger vehicle that caused the traffic accident died at the scene, and three passengers from the same vehicle sustained serious bodily injuries, all citizens of Albania.
The driver of the vehicle with Slovenian license plates and two passengers who were with him in the vehicle, one of whom was a minor child, all citizens of Kosovo, also sustained serious injuries.
