Svoboda: Vučić promised not to interfere in BiH affairs

The victory of Aleksandar Vučić, leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in yesterday's elections in Serbia was expected, but the European Union must continue to closely monitor developments, stated Austrian Member of the EU Parliament Hannes Swoboda for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). He is also a member of the Committee for Cooperation with Southeast European Countries in the European Parliament, and was the rapporteur for that country in the EU Parliament.

- Vučić has been very constructive so far and we hope he will continue to be so. I spoke with him and he made it very clear that he will not interfere in the internal politics of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the side of Republika Srpska – says Swoboda.

According to him, Brussels hopes that Vučić will maintain the course of good cooperation with the European Union regarding Kosovo and BiH.

- Europe must be prepared, have very clear positions as before, and then we can hope that Vučić will keep the promises he made – Swoboda told NAP.
