Witness before the Court of BiH confirmed that the accused stayed in Croatia in April 1992.

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The defense witness stated that the accused stayed with her family as a refugee in his house in Croatia during 1992.

Anton Milković said that he rented a house in the village of Lič in Croatia to the accused Veseli and her family in April 1992, writes BIRN.

- At that time, Ševče was buried in Lič - said Milković, explaining that it was the brother of the accused and that Veseli attended the funeral.

Milković stated that he knew that Veseli left for BiH a month or two after the funeral to get her father, and that she returned in the autumn, where she stayed until the end of 1992.

The witness explained that he did not visit that house often, as he lived in the nearby village of Fužine, but that the police were aware that the accused's family was staying in Lič. He added that he never saw Veseli in uniform.

Sakib Halilović is also being tried with Veseli for the crime committed in Zvornik. According to the indictment, Halilović was the commander of the Diversionary Platoon of the combined units Liplje-Kamenica, and in the hamlet of Bajrići in the summer of 1992, he witnessed the murder of a 12-year-old boy of Serbian nationality, Slobodan Stojanović. According to the indictment, Veseli slit his throat.

The trial will continue on June 13.
