Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić held a meeting with BiH Presidency member Mladen Ivanić this morning.
He will attend the International Economy Fair, one of the most significant economic events in the region, along with numerous BiH and regional officials, N1 reports, as conveyed by the BiH news agency Patria.
- We had a good conversation about the cooperation between Serbia and BiH, about regional relations, and about the position of the Serbian people. For the Republic of Serbia, BiH is one of the most important trading partners. BiH is the fourth trading partner, the third export destination after Italy and Germany. Regional stability is of key importance. We will invest a lot of effort and work to preserve peace and stability for all people in the Western Balkans.
All countries, BiH, Serbia, and Croatia, have the task and obligation to create stability and security for all their citizens. It is much better to have sincere and open relations, to talk about them and resolve them, than to sweep problems under the rug. That is how I will behave, I will be completely open and honest - Vučić said after the meeting with Ivanić.
Vučić then met with Dragan Čović, and it was emphasized that they had "open and good conversations about the relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of course about relations in the region and relations between the Serbian and Croatian peoples."
The opening ceremony of the International Economy Fair is planned in Pavilion 1, starting at 11:00 AM.
The opening of the Fair will be addressed by the Director of the Mostar Fair Dalfina Bošnjak, the Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović, the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, the President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović, the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and Numan Kurtulmus, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Turkey – the partner country of the Fair, who will declare the fair open.
At this year's, the nineteenth fair, exhibitors from 24 countries will present themselves on approximately 30,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space, and it is expected that around 50,000 people may visit the Fair during its duration.
