Meeting between Grabar-Kitarović and Vučić: Generational change among the "Karađorđevićs"

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, at their meeting in Zagreb, agreed only on their approach to BiH, dedicating most of their dialogue to this country. Therefore, Bosnia and Herzegovina is once again under attack. The current leaders of Serbia and Croatia are still on the same wavelength as the Greater-state policies of Tuđman and Milošević. Both Grabar-Kitarović and Vučić were deeply involved in the policies of criminal regimes in the 1990s. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović joined the HDZ in the early 90s and calls that party "her family, for better or worse". In early 1993, Grabar-Kitarović began working in the newly formed department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the International Department headed by Ivo Sanader, then Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mate Granić. Grabar-Kitarović's first colleague was Zoran Milanović. He is the one who uttered the most pathetic insults towards BiH.

We know that Vučić demanded the liquidation of one hundred Muslims for one killed Serb. He, by all accounts, puts on a mask when negotiating with Turkish officials, including recently with Izetbegović and Erdogan in Istanbul. He, unfortunately, continues to play the main card of the old agreements between Milošević and Tuđman.

Tuđman is gone, but his policy remains. If the HDZ had no mercy for Posavina and the Croats of Posavina, how will they have mercy for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosniaks?

Professor Ivo Komšić and the main peace negotiator Richard Holbrooke wrote honestly about the negotiations in Dayton in their memoirs. Komšić recalled the first shock in Dayton: "Openly and clearly, Milošević said that he and Tuđman had 'long agreed' that Bosnian Posavina would belong to Republika Srpska... I fear what Milošević publicly repeated here several times - that he agreed with Tuđman that Posavina would belong to 'Republika Srpska'... None of us should sell that territory and those people," Komšić wrote. He then adds: "I learned the details of Tuđman's dinner last night with Zubak, Prlić, and Tadić. He exerted strong pressure for us all to give up Posavina, he shouted and banged his fist on the table."

Tuđman and Milošević imposed the trade of Posavina on the Americans as a key part of their peace agreement. And it was all over. "Warren Christopher said that Posavina is no longer a subject of negotiation and that it is done," noted the disappointed Komšić.

Tuđman immortalized his cruelty, even towards the Bosnian Croats, not just Bosnia and Herzegovina, in stenograms. He recorded them in his residence to become a hero, but he became a criminal. It is certain that he betrayed the Bosnian Croats. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Dragan Čović do not say a word about the Croats in Republika Srpska, even though there are as many of them as in Sarajevo, which they accuse of everything and anything.

Stjepan Kljuić, himself a victim of a mad policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, also confirmed the criminal attitude towards the Croats of BiH.

"The statements of officials from Zagreb that they will protect Croats in BiH, that they are guarantors of the Dayton Agreement, sound cynical. Their predecessors brutally sold out the Bosnian Croats. They do not care about the victims of Prijedor, Banja Luka, Ljubija, Ivanjska, Bosanski Brod, Bosanski Šamac, Derventa, Kotor Varoš," said Kljuić... "Moreover, even today, Croatian officials in BiH are cooperating with Milorad Dodik, who merely finalized what Karadžić and Krajišnik, with the help of Ćosić and Milošević, had started.

It is no secret to Western political leaders that Tuđman and Milošević waged a joint, agreed-upon war against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Stjepan Kljuić noted that all serious statesmen in Europe condemned Tuđman's cooperation with Milošević. It was humiliating that not a single European president attended the funeral of Croatian President Tuđman. Milošević ended up in the dock at the Scheveningen prison.

New forces have arrived, seeking to turn one criminal ethnic cleansing into a "final solution to the Bosniak question".

Pressures on Bosniaks and BiH have already been announced. These are usual variations on the theme of terrorism. It was expected that the provocations would start superficially and somewhat harmlessly. Namely, concurrently with Vučić's visit to Zagreb, news broke about a bomb planted in the Dutch Embassy in Sarajevo. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federation must urgently investigate this, as it turned out to be a false bomb threat.

At the same time, the German Government announced that there is no evidence of an increase in threats from alleged Islamic radicalism and terrorism from Albania, Kosovo, and BiH. It seems that the German Government has denied a key part of the Serbian-Croatian agreements in Zagreb. /S. Omeragić/
