Military plane crashed in Serbia

(Patria) - During the execution of a regular flight mission this morning around 9 AM, a Serbian Army MiG-21 plane crashed in the area of the village of Brasina near Mali Zvornik. A team from the Search and Rescue Service of the Air Force and Air Defense and competent authorities has been dispatched to the scene, the Serbian Ministry of Defense announced. 

According to unofficial information, one pilot died, and the search for the other is ongoing. 

A local resident was injured in whose yard the plane fell. He was transported to the general hospital in Loznica, and his condition is stable.

Firefighters, the Army, the police, and the Emergency Medical Service are on the scene. 

Eyewitness Stanoje Grujić said that a loud sound of the plane was heard, which was flying low, after which the plane crashed, and it all lasted very briefly.
