What is the transit time of death? Ebola, corona, and sars stop there. All monsters retreat nanometers before people, supposedly people, to whom you, Aleksandar, carried crates of beer in the name of genocidal ideology.
"We have gone through difficult situations in Kosovo and Metohija, through a million migrants, not to mention other situations from Srebrenica and beyond, but this will be the biggest battle yet. This is the worst day in Europe since the Second World War," said Aleksandar Vučić in his address last night, mentioning Srebrenica, a raw wound, without batting an eye.
Well, it wouldn't be bad to tell Aleksandar Vučić in just a few bloody steps that yesterday's March Ides are nowhere near the worst day in Europe since the Second World War. Unfortunately, fortunately, take it as you will.
Indeed Aleksandar, this March 15th is not the worst day in Europe since the Second World War.
The worst day in Europe since the Second World War is July 13, 1995, when the rampages of your mentors, like-minded individuals, and thugs under the leadership of Republika Srpska and Serbia, killed at least 2000 Srebrenica residents. Jadar, Cerska valley, warehouses in Kravica. Remember how people were stacked like packages, like logs, like beams in the dead alleys of genocide. Remember how the barrels of machine guns heated up from shooting, so much so that they bent and missed human flesh. Then that human flesh, which had a name and surname, was finished off with bombs, knives, and pragas. That is the worst day in Europe since the Second World War.
In five days, 8372 human beings were killed. Never compare that, that genocide, with any virus, because that is the most dangerous and terrifying virus. It was not corona, it was ebola in terms of time per innocent person in the Chetnik guise!
Then, remember Biljana near Ključ, remember July 10, '92, remember the murdered village, the entire village, absolutely the entire village, the Chetniks counted up to 240. They also counted the bodies of children in the arms of pregnant mothers, all with pistol bullets in the back of their heads.
Then remember Prijedor, remember May 25, '92, and the 800 murdered residents of Prijedor and Kozarac, remember August 25, '92, and Korićani cliffs, and more than 200 people thrown into the abyss... in a day, by the hour.
What is that transit time of death? Ebola, corona, and SARS stop there. All monsters retreat nanometers before people, supposedly people, to whom you carried crates of beer in the name of that ideology.
Therefore, there are many days, much worse than the March Ides of 2020, when the pathetic Vučić, in his even more pathetic glorification, declared a state of emergency in Serbia, shamelessly mentioning Srebrenica and, strutting in front of the cameras, clumsily imitating his war idols from the nineties.
And that is Vučić's shameful address.
It is the address of a man who until a few days ago mocked the coronavirus epidemic, laughed, demonstratively coughed, approved and applauded his pulmonologists who said that the corona was "the funniest virus, created on FB" and that "women cannot get infected, so they should go shopping in Italy".
That same Vučić has now delivered the most pathetic presidential speech in the history of presidential speeches, which would make even a stone panic, seasoned with the hysterical war rhetoric of the nineties, to which he refers, and which crippled the Bosniak people in BiH, but also every other human being who did not agree with the regime in Belgrade.
That same Vučić declared a state of emergency, for once in his life. For him, corona is not a virus, it is a mythical Serbian enemy, which must be approached in the wartime manner of the nineties.
As in Srebrenica, back then, it should be "prevented". Because, once upon a time, for the Greater Serbian nomenklatura of virology, Bosniaks were the virus, and today it is corona. The means and rhetoric are the same. There is also a state of emergency, the same one that, for example, swallowed Slavko Ćuruvija in Serbia in 1999. The same one that was declared after the assassination of Zoran Đinđić. Every Serbian state of emergency, declared in this way and accompanied by such rhetoric, does not bode well.
The only huge difference is that the citizens of Serbia will feel this "emergency". It suited Vučić - both to postpone the elections, and to declare himself the winner, and to play the role of little Milošević. That's right. Everything suited him. So today he is training and disciplining his own people, instead of dismissing the people who are supposedly experts, and who mocked the deadly virus.
And then, instead of seriousness and maturity, statesmanship, he mentions Srebrenica, acts pathetic and sulks like a spoiled child.
Really, what does Srebrenica have to do with coronavirus? Is that how you mobilize all the forces of a country, by referring to genocide?
Why???
Ah, I was mistaken!
President Vučić did not mean "that" Srebrenica. No, he meant "the one" Srebrenica when he was attacked with stones, as a legal ideological Šešelj successor. According to him, that is one of the most important events after the Second World War, which is on par immediately after corona. This is because his backside lacked air. What dead people, what massacred people, what genocide, what Vlasenica, Foča, Višegrad, living human bonfires, Biljana, what Prijedor, what 102 murdered children, what Tomašica, what Sušica...
Vučić's Srebrenica hurts only because of his wounded ego, so he uses it as a metaphor for his personal corona - nothing more and nothing less than that.
Otherwise, Serbia will survive everything - corona and everything else, and I sincerely wish it so, but this kind of government, these ultranationalist, charlatan, and populist patterns of behavior in which Xi Jinping is a "brother", and not the president of China, as if they met in a cafe, in which Srebrenica is a place for haggling and mockery, - it will hardly survive!
