Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia Rasim Ljajić announced today in Sarajevo that Serbia and BiH will open a joint tourism and economic representation of these two countries in Istanbul in September this year, in order to better market themselves together to the Turkish market, writes Patria.
At a press conference, Ljajić said that economic cooperation and trade exchange between BiH and Serbia must be raised to a higher level, and that the joint appearance of the two countries in other markets must be stronger and better positioned.
- We want to attract a large number of Chinese tourists together. One hundred million Chinese travel annually, and everyone is fighting for a piece of that pie – said Ljajić, revealing how BiH and Serbia plan to attract Chinese tourists.
- We want to jointly create a project called The Paths of Walter. So, it will include places where the film "Walter Defends Sarajevo" was filmed. We want Chinese tourists to visit these locations. Part of these locations is in Serbia, and the largest part is in BiH – said Ljajić, adding that BiH and Serbia will have to work on more such projects.
Ljajić also announced a cycling tour Belgrade - Sarajevo - Dubrovnik.
In Sarajevo on Thursday, Ljajić met with the Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Ismir Jusko, as well as the BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, writes Patria.
