(Patria) - Spanish police arrested a Serbian national (28) who was found with 23 kilograms of cocaine worth 1.8 million euros.
Police officers from the Madrid district of San Blas-Canillejas on Tuesday, during a regular patrol, noticed two individuals moving away from a Mercedes A-Class car, carrying two suitcases and a sports bag, looking back more often.
Their behavior was suspicious, which is why they tried to stop the duo, who then fled, abandoning the suitcases and the bag.
The man of Serbian origin was soon apprehended during a police chase.
According to Spanish media, he is linked to "large-scale" drug trafficking.

The suitcases were opened in the presence of the arrested man, and 18 packages wrapped in brown tape with a logo bearing the inscription "Juan Valdez" – like the famous Colombian coffee brand – and a picture of a horse next to a man were found inside.
A vacuum packing machine and additional accessories were also seized.
After weighing, it was determined that a total of 23.23 kilograms of cocaine were seized.
