Serbia called all employees of the embassy in Skopje for urgent consultations in Belgrade

All employees of the Serbian embassy in Skopje have been recalled to Belgrade for urgent consultations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia announced, writes the Patria agency.

For now, there is no information about the reasons that led to the embassy staff being called for consultations in Belgrade.

- In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Vienna Convention, the competent institutions of Macedonia are taking measures to protect the security and integrity of the Serbian Embassy in Skopje - it is stated in the statement of the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Serbian Ambassador to Macedonia, Dušanka Divjak-Tomić, told the Serbian media that she could not comment on the new situation, and that everything would become clearer in the coming days.
