The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of RS, Petar Đokić, said that his Ministry is currently negotiating with Italians and another partner regarding investments in the company “Biteks”, writes Capital.ba, reports Patria.
- I think we are on the right track to resolve this. However, currently, the problem we are facing is that Serbia offers extremely favorable conditions, and all company representatives who have spoken with me in recent months have gone to Serbia afterwards and stayed there - Đokić said.
He emphasized that Serbia provides a significantly larger amount for the employment of its citizens than RS.
- Serbia provides 5,000 euros per employee as a direct incentive, and in addition, it provides equipment and facilities where the activity is carried out, so it is extremely favorable for those who wanted to come here but are going to Serbia - Đokić said, adding that for the Government of RS, it is most important that the workers of „Biteks“ are engaged by an employer who will continue to carry out textile activities in the facilities in Bileća.
Otherwise, the company „Nikola Tesla“, which recently changed its name to „Biteks“, worked for the German company „Štajman“, but ran into problems after the German company went bankrupt.
