(Patria) - Considering economic reasons and the epidemiological situation, the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia passed a Decision on April 19 to lift the necessary measure of prohibiting leaving the place of residence and permanent stay for the area of the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County.
Ten counties requested the complete abolition of e-passes for their area: Brod-Posavina, Karlovac, Koprivnica-Krizevci, Medjimurje, Osijek-Baranja, Virovitica-Podravina, Zadar, Sibenik-Knin, Vukovar-Srijem, and Split-Dalmatia.
In Serbia, starting Tuesday, April 21, the curfew should be shortened by one hour and be in effect from 6 PM, citizens over 65 will be able to go for a walk three times a week, and craft shops and service workshops should start operating.
After the longest movement ban, which came into effect on Friday, April 17, at 5 PM and ends on Tuesday at 5 AM, the country, according to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, will begin a gradual easing of measures introduced during the state of emergency in effect since March 15.
Instead of starting at 5 PM, the movement ban should be shortened by an hour starting tomorrow, i.e., it will start at 6 PM.
Also, citizens over 65, for whom movement was completely banned, except for one trip to the store per week, will be allowed to move for 30 minutes three times a week.
They will be able to walk during the movement ban for other citizens, i.e., from 6 PM to 1 AM on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and there is a possibility that their walks will be allowed daily from April 27, if the situation with the coronavirus epidemic improves.
Vučić also invited construction workers to start working tomorrow, observing the prescribed distancing measures.
From April 27, cosmetic and hair salons, as well as gyms, are expected to start operating, while observing protective measures.
Among the announcements is the possible opening of cafes and restaurants, as well as hotels, shopping malls, intercity and airport traffic between May 4 and May 11.
However, all these eased measures can be withdrawn if the situation with coronavirus in the country worsens.
According to data from yesterday at 3 PM, 122 people have died from the consequences of coronavirus in Serbia so far, a total of 6,318 have been infected, and 753 have recovered, Hina reports.
