Solak and Agić visited BiH team engaged in flood aftermath in Skopje

Director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ), Fahrudin Solak, and Assistant Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Protection and Rescue, Samir Agić, visited the BiH Team, specifically the FUCZ, which is engaged in removing the consequences of the recent catastrophic floods in Skopje, reports Patria agency.

The purpose of this visit was to tour the FUCZ Team, as well as the affected area of the city of Skopje, and they brought an additional five dehumidifiers as aid to the endangered population. Director Fahrudin Solak and Samir Agić met with Jasmin Gagula, Chargé d'Affaires at the BiH Embassy in Macedonia, and with the Director and Deputy Director of the Protection and Rescue Directorate of the Republic of Macedonia, with whom they exchanged experiences gained during and after the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia and agreed on future cooperation in accordance with the signed Agreement on Protection from Natural and Other Disasters.

After completing the mission in removing the consequences of the recent catastrophic floods in Skopje and its surroundings, the FUCZ Team, consisting of ten FUCZ members with high-pressure water pumps and other equipment, and four more firefighters from the Civil Protection of Sarajevo Canton with two fire trucks, will return to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 21.08.2016.
