(Patria) - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the ENIC-NARIC Centre of the Republic of Slovenia have informed that, starting Monday, 19 June 2023, the Republic of Slovenia will continue processing individual applications for the recognition of higher education diplomas from Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby unblocking the process of evaluating and recognising higher education diplomas obtained in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This activity is the result of intensive multi-month communication between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the competent educational authorities with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia, aimed at protecting the acquired rights of individuals who obtained higher education diplomas in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We recall that on 24 October 2022, the ENIC-NARIC Centre of the Republic of Slovenia suspended the processing of individual applications for the evaluation and recognition of higher education diplomas obtained in Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to, as stated in the announcement of the Slovenian ENIC-NARIC Centre, "missing, unclear and inconsistent information regarding the accreditation of higher education institutions and study programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina."
