The BiH Employment Agency has drafted a work program for 2017, stating that priority will be given to international employment agreements, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
Thus, the focus will be on the implementation of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on the employment of BiH citizens in the Republic of Slovenia. In 2017, around 3,100 workers from BiH are expected to be employed.
Also planned is the implementation of the Agreement on mediation in the employment of workers from BiH in the Federal Republic of Germany for caregiver positions and on the employment of workers of other professions from BiH. It is envisaged that at least 2,000 workers will be employed through the BiH Employment Agency, and their registration with employment services and bureaus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on the Decree of the Federal Republic of Germany on the liberalization of the labor market for Western Balkan countries for the period 2016-2020.
Activities will also be undertaken to implement the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the temporary employment of BiH citizens in the Republic of Serbia and citizens of the Republic of Serbia in BiH, but the number of people who could be employed has not been specified.
According to the Agreement ratified in June 2016 between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Qatar, a minimum of 2,000 people from BiH are expected to be employed in Qatari companies in 2017.
According to the Agency's records in May 2016, there were 518,857 unemployed persons. In FBiH 373,378, in RS 133,979, and in Brčko District 11,500 people, writes NAP.
