(Patria) - Istrian police have reported that a Slovenian citizen has been criminally charged for forging a license plate to park for free in Rovinj.
Officers from the Rovinj - Rovigno Police Station have completed a criminal investigation into a 44-year-old Slovenian citizen suspected of forging a vehicle license plate.
The Slovenian, as stated in the police report, altered the factual data with tape, i.e., modified the license plate, and in this way attempted to avoid paying for parking on the Council of Europe Promenade in Rovinj, and then used such a vehicle in traffic.
A criminal report for document forgery will be filed against the suspect in regular proceedings, the statement adds.
