There is truly no fear of snow in Bosnia and Herzegovina, although Slovenia is experiencing the largest and latest April snowfall since 1985, Nedim Sladić, a BiH storm chaser, told Patria.
Slovenj Gradec is measuring 18 cm, Velenje 13 cm, Ljubljana 8 cm, Celje 4 cm, and Maribor 2 cm of snow. Snow has also fallen in Croatian Međimurje, with the last time it appeared this late being in 1985. However, the snow should not extend further than Croatia, meaning further towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Due to heavy snowfall in Slovenia, about ten thousand consumers were left without electricity, mostly in the areas of Ljubljana and Dravograd. Traffic difficulties are being reported.
Meteorologists are forecasting calmer weather for today and tomorrow, with low temperatures persisting, although snow is still falling in some parts of the country, Patria writes.
