Skopljaković: HDZ representatives once again demonstrated political disgrace

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, strongly condemns the shameful opposition of HDZ BiH and SNSD representatives to the proposal to finally incorporate constitutional guarantees of the constituent status of Serbs into the constitutions of four cantons with a Croatian majority.

- Representatives of HDZ BiH in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament have once again demonstrated political disgrace and shown that they are mere yes-men and pawns of their party despot. It is evident to everyone that the opposition to a reasonable initiative is essentially the implementation of the insane political pact between Čović and Dodik, who are ready to bury the interests of Croats in Republika Srpska, or Serbs in the Federation of BiH, all for the purpose of genocidal cleansing and territorial consolidation.

It is unacceptable and strategically absolutely perilous to treat the constituent status of a people, as a constitutional provision, as a "smorgasbord" and selfishly take only what suits you at a given moment and in a given area. This is an unserious and impermissible policy that can have terrible consequences and damage to Croatian national interests throughout BiH.

The Croatian Party calls on the domestic and international public to condemn the unconstitutional and chauvinistic act of voting by representatives from HDZ BiH and SNSD, and all political representatives and institutions in cantons with a Croatian majority to find the strength and show political maturity and readiness for the moment and incorporate provisions on the full constituent status of Serbs into their constitutions in Herzegovina-Neretva, Posavina, West Herzegovina, and Livno cantons - it is stated in the message from Božo Skopljaković, president of the Croatian Party of BiH.
