Skopljaković for NAP: Military property must be registered exclusively to the state

The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, told the Patria News Agency that military property must be registered exclusively to the state of BiH.

- The Croatian Party of BiH believes that all military property must be registered exclusively as the property of the state of BiH, regardless of whether it is a prerequisite for activating the MAP or not. All NATO member states have, we believe, done the same because it is also a requirement from the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo, which is there to help us in the process of joining the NATO alliance - says Skopljaković.  

He also commented on the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH to reject the appeal of Republika Srpska regarding the registration of military property, and the comments on the Constitutional Court's decision by certain politicians.

- The Constitutional Court's decision to reject the RS's appeal regarding the registration of military property is becoming the subject of comments by many who do not agree with such a decision, and when the Constitutional Court's decisions suit them, then such decisions are not commented on. The decisions of the Constitutional Court are not commented on, regardless of whether they suit you or not, they are simply implemented - stated the president of the Croatian Party.

The leader of the Croatian Party of BiH emphasized that registering military property to lower levels of government would only lead to further divisions of the country.

- By registering military property to municipalities, cantons, or entities, we are entering into further divisions that only suit those who talk a lot about Euro-Atlantic integration but do everything to prevent it from happening. Not only military property, but any other property that in all normal European countries is owned by the state should be registered to the state of BiH, and after that, it should be made available to lower levels of government. Let's stop experimenting with the aim of further divisions.

Skopljaković stated that it is the obligation of all responsible individuals in the country to do everything to enable BiH to join NATO, and that the decision on joining will be made when the time comes.

- We see that one side does not agree with BiH joining NATO, and we can discuss and agree on that; such important issues should never be subject to outvoting, but that should never mean that we should do everything to keep BiH as far away from that goal as possible. I believe that it is necessary to do everything that is required of the state of BiH in order to be ready and capable of joining NATO, and we will all make the decision together when the time comes - emphasized Skopljaković.
