Skopljaković: Prsten Association serves exclusively to promote HDZ candidates

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, believes that everything that has been happening in and around the Prsten association in recent years indicates that the well-intentioned mission of this association is losing its meaning and that Prsten has actually been insidiously drawn into the clutches of HDZ in both BiH and Croatia.

The Association of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Croats "Prsten", which, strangely and indicatively, was founded in Vitez just a few months before the parliamentary elections, allegedly aims to invest in science and education, and connect successful businessmen, in order to stimulate investments in areas of BiH where Croats live, and will engage in humanitarian and charitable work.

In this context, the expectations that someone from the academic community or one of the successful businessmen would be appointed to lead Prsten seem entirely logical to me. Unfortunately, politics has once again taken matters into its own hands, and through the speeches of selected guests, exclusively political messages were conveyed during this pre-election period, without concrete and clear messages about investing in science or education, with the aim of stopping the emigration of Croats from BiH.

The gathering in Vitez served primarily to promote HDZ BiH candidates and monolithic thinking, i.e., obscuring conceptual divisions among Croats regarding the Election Law and BiH's European path, which is solely a consequence of the gross failures of the leading Croatian party in BiH.

There are various humanitarian and charitable institutions in BiH, so we do not need another association that would engage in such activities. If that is the goal, then let's help the Red Cross or Kruh sv. Ante - stated Božo Skopljaković, president of HS BiH, in a press release.
