Skopljaković: Foreign ambassadors should impose sanctions on all who obstruct BiH's European path

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Embassies of certain countries, the OHR, and the OSCE have expressed deep concern that parties HDZ BiH and SNSD show no interest in implementing the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the Law on Criminal Procedure in BiH, and have also identified accomplices and actual participants in organized crime and corruption.

The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, told the Patria news agency that he supports the reaction of foreign embassies, which have openly named the real culprits for BiH's stagnation in implementing necessary reforms.

- Let's recall how many times in the past year it has been stated that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH must be respected, we are talking about amendments to the Election Law, and the impression was created that politicians in BiH have finally opted for a state of law and will advocate for the implementation of all court decisions in the future.

Unfortunately, hypocrisy has once again shown its true face through selective advocacy for the implementation of certain Constitutional Court decisions as it suits you at a given moment – says Skopljaković.

The leaders of HDZ BiH and SNSD and their representatives in the BiH Parliament are directly responsible for the possible further spread of organized crime and corruption throughout BiH, to the detriment of all citizens, is the statement of ambassadors and international institutions in BiH, he adds.

Skopljaković concluded by stating that he expects ambassadors of foreign countries in BiH to take concrete action and sanction those forces that are hindering BiH's European path.

- Such a statement should concern all of us in BiH even more deeply if the mentioned institutions remain only deeply concerned, without concrete steps and the initiation of mechanisms to remove all those who stand in the way of BiH's Euro-Atlantic path, and whom they have already identified.

Mere deep concern will not solve this problem, therefore I call on all ambassadors, as well as the EU, to impose sanctions on all who stand in the way of BiH's Euro-Atlantic path – Skopljaković told NAP.
