Skopljaković: All decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights must be implemented

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, told the Patria news agency that he supports the reaction of foreign embassies in BiH, which have clearly identified the culprits in the stagnation of BiH's European path.

- The Croatian Party of BiH has repeatedly called for all obstructors of BiH's path to NATO and the EU to finally be identified in BiH. We are pleased with the reaction of ambassadors of certain countries, the OHR, and the OSCE, and that they have finally found the strength to point the finger at the brakes on the amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code – said Skopljaković.

He adds that it is now clear that the entire farce surrounding the amendments to the Election Law was actually a smokescreen to divert attention from much more important issues.

- Unfortunately, the international community, together with domestic political elites, continues to selectively address certain decisions of the Constitutional Court. The Croatian Party of BiH does not support the selective resolution of Constitutional Court decisions; we believe that all decisions must be implemented, as well as the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, from the first to the last, if we want to call ourselves a state of law. It has been said countless times that BiH will not be able to become a member of the EU until the judgments of the EU Court of Human Rights are resolved – says the president of HS.

Skopljaković finally called on the international community and domestic politicians to finally turn to genuine reforms in BiH.

- We call on the international community and everyone in BiH to turn to genuine reforms and to jointly move towards changes to the BiH Constitution in order to resolve the judgments of the EU Court of Human Rights, thereby ensuring long-term stable foundations for the state, as well as a secure path to the EU – concluded Skopljaković.
