Skopljaković and Brdarić: HDZ BiH leadership exaggerates in imposing amendments to the Election Law

VITEZ, (Patria) - The president of the Croatian Party of BiH Božo Skopljaković spoke in Vitez with the president of the Croatian Bloc Franjo Brdarić. They dedicated most of their attention to the difficult position of Croat returnees to their homelands in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, and to the possibilities of inter-party cooperation in the election year.

Skopljaković and Brdarić agreed that the two parties are absolutely close in their programmatic guidelines, especially when it comes to crucial goals, sustainable return, and achieving full constitutional equality of Croats, but throughout the entire territory of BiH.

The presidents of the Croatian Party of BiH and the Croatian Bloc warned that the leadership of HDZ BiH has abandoned Croats in RS to Milorad Dodik and his SNSD, and that the "alleged fight for Croatian national interests has been exclusively reduced to the FBiH and settling scores with Bosniak political leaders."

- The leadership of HDZ BiH exaggerates in imposing amendments to the Election Law as some kind of fateful national issue, while at the same time pushing to the margins much more important issues such as the return of Croats to RS and the departure of youth from our country.

This is a transparent, paranoid insistence that HDZ BiH be given guarantees that their candidates will be elected to all important legislative and executive positions in the country, while at the same time offering discriminatory electoral rules even for Croats themselves in certain areas of BiH - it was stated.
