Skopljaković: Čović does not represent the interests of the majority of Croats in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The president of the Croatian Party of BiH, Božo Skopljaković, in a conversation with the Patria agency, condemned the statements of Dragan Čović, who said that a civic state also represents an Islamic state.

- Čović forgets that he openly supports Dodik in his dreams of secession of a part of BiH and unification with another neighboring country, all in order to get Dodik to support his dreams and aspirations in the form of a third entity, but only in the territory of the FBiH. This is equally dangerous as the efforts of certain circles to organize BiH as a unitary centralized BiH – Skopljaković believes.

With such statements and efforts, the ruling elite wants to shake trust among citizens, all with the aim of maintaining the status quo so that they can continue to be "untouchable", believes the president of HS BiH.

- To those who want to tear apart and divide BiH, I remind them, not today, but never, that they will not succeed. At a time when we expect the highest officials of this country to take responsibility and condemn the inappropriate behavior and statements of individuals and groups, it is precisely they who advocate, encourage, and spread hate speech in the public and media space – Skopljaković points out.

Skopljaković concludes that the HDZ leader does not represent all Croats in BiH.

- HS BiH distances itself from all statements made by Mr. Čović, because he does not represent our interests, nor the interests of the majority of Croats in BiH – Skopljaković stated.
