Scandal: BiH Armed Forces soldier Nemanja Tubić is a member of the security detail for Belgrade's Partizan!?

Nemanja Tubić (24), a member of football manager Radojica Božović's security detail, has agreed with the prosecution on a 10-month house arrest sentence for illegally carrying a pistol, writes Belgrade's "Blic", reports the Patria News Agency.

Božović's security, for whom Tubić works, also provides security for the management of FK Partizan, one of whose leaders is Miloš Vazura. To make things more interesting, Tubić, who provides security for the "black and whites", is also a regular member of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning that as a uniformed soldier of a foreign country, he provides security for a club in Serbia.

Tubić reached an agreement on admitting guilt with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office last Thursday, less than a day after the police found a pistol without a permit on his belt during a routine traffic stop in Njegoševa Street.

After being taken into police custody, Tubić decided to plead guilty and, through his lawyer, proposed serving eight months of house arrest.

The prosecution requested 10 months, which Tubić eventually accepted, and the agreement also involved the confiscation of the disputed "Zbrojevka" pistol with 15 armor-piercing bullets. The court formalized this agreement, and the member of Božović's security detail will soon receive an express ankle monitor (an electronic bracelet around the leg).

After Tubić was detained on May 25th at 9:20 PM, Rajo Božović himself appeared at the police station.

This football manager, a former comrade of Legija and a colonel in the JSO, shouted at the station that the police had no reason to detain his protégé and that the pistol was actually his. However, when police officers asked him to show them the ownership certificate and permit, Božović said he didn't have them.

Then came the second act of this arrest. A well-known Belgrade lawyer boasted in the city that Zoran Nedović Šok, the father-in-law of Miloš Vazura, one of the leaders of FK Partizan, had asked him for help.

The lawyer allegedly promised to arrange for the arrested young man to get an ankle monitor and to ensure he wouldn't end up in prison, which would otherwise be his fate for illegally carrying a weapon.

In any case, the young man who was arrested on Wednesday at 9:20 PM had a plea deal by the next morning, and the prosecution dismisses any agreements of this kind, stating:

"Concluding a plea agreement is an institution recommended by the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office, and it is up to each prosecutor to try to conclude such an agreement with the defendant. It is one of the modalities that contributes to the efficiency of criminal proceedings, so the intention is to apply it as much as possible. A proposal from the defense counsel or the defendant to conclude an agreement cannot be treated as pressure."
